Team Spotlight
Ma’in Alshamayleh is a recognized leader in transformational leadership and public sector reform, with over 25 years of experience shaping policy, building institutions, and advancing the Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) agenda across the MENA region. A tireless advocate for youth inclusion, Ma’in has led pioneering efforts to institutionalize youth engagement in governance and peacebuilding, working at the intersection of policy, empowerment, and strategic development. His leadership was instrumental in shaping the Amman Declaration on Youth, Peace, and Security, a milestone in global youth policy. As the Founder and Chair of the MENA Coalition on YPS and an active member of the Global Coalition on YPS, Ma’in continues to lead regional and international efforts to amplify youth voices in decision-making spaces. His government tenure - including 15 years with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and 10 years at the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs - has equipped him with deep institutional insight, which he leverages to integrate youth priorities into national strategies, legislative frameworks, and peace processes.
