Under subcontract to MSH for the AIDSTAR-Two Project, Iris Group staff participated in a gender assessment in Kazakhstan and prepared and vetted a gender strategy for PEPFAR’s regional program for the Central Asian Republics. The strategy included a heavy focus on identifying and eliminating the gender-related barriers to HIV services for key populations, including people who inject drugs, sex workers, men who have sex with men, prison populations, and transgender persons.
