Iris Group’s gender experts prepared guidelines for field office research teams of the USAID Support for International Family Planning Organizations (SIFPO) project. The guidance addresses internationally recognized best practices on GBV, including sampling considerations, data collection requirements, counseling/referral requirements, effective framing of research questions, and ethical protocols. Special consideration is given to research involving key populations, including transgender people, adolescents, men who have sex with men, and sex workers. The work was conducted under a subcontract from Intrahealth.
