Iris Group provided hands-on training for 47 participants from the West Bank/Gaza program to familiarize them with basic gender concepts, updates on recent policy changes, and roles and responsibilities for gender integration throughout the USAID program cycle. During the second day of training, participants worked in sector teams to apply gender analysis and integration to their own procurements and current projects. Sectors included water resources and infrastructure, private enterprise, education, health, and democracy and governance. The gender training was conducted under contract to DevTech and in collaboration with the USAID Office of Gender and Development.
