Served as strategic thought partner to support the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in taking a more intentional approach to gender equality and women’s empowerment across the foundation, by forwarding the foundations’ thinking on gender integration and women’s empowerment. This entailed strategy and research support, including an extensive literature review and synthesis of gender interventions and outcomes across six programmatic sectors (Agricultural Development; Family Planning; Financial Services for the Poor; Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health; Nutrition; and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), and providing expert consultation on key publications.
