Maternal and Newborn Health Curriculum for Community Health Workers: Healthy Futures Project in China
Stanford University
2019

To improve child health outcomes in rural China, Iris Group contributed to Stanford University's Healthy Futures project by providing expertise in content and training design. The Healthy Futures project seeks to train a cadre of community health workers (CHWs) in rural China to deliver key content on maternal nutrition, breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and illness prevention to pregnant women, mothers and other caregivers of infants. The Iris team supported the development of project objectives, designed interactive modules to be delivered by community health workers (CHWs), and crafted and facilitated a participatory training-of-trainers workshop to enable trainers to convey module content effectively to CHWs.
