Nancy Alvey, MS, BA, has over 25 years of experience in health program management at USAID in Latin America, with particular experience in HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, family planning, and health-related human rights. During her career in USAID, she developed skills in government and civil society relations, analysis of gender roles, and management for results. She has a particular interest in the health needs and social inclusion of under-served or stigmatized groups. Before joining USAID, Nancy worked for Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
Nancy has a Master of Science degree in Management and Organizational Development from Alliant University in San Diego, California, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, and a Diploma Superior en Español from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogota, Colombia. Fluent in Spanish, Nancy is a long-time resident of Mexico City.
