Aishwarya Nagar is an Associate at Iris Group with experience in global public health, largely focused on sexual and reproductive health, gender equity, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and project management. She provides research assistance and project management support for current awards. In particular, she has worked on evidence reviews and global projects addressing menstrual hygiene management in the workplace, gender transformative adolescent health and maternal and child health interventions, city-wide inclusive sanitation, and child, early, and forced marriage. She is passionate about applied participatory and qualitative research methods, as well as evidence-based international development programming that centers gender equality and social inequalities.
Aishwarya previously worked as a consultant for UNICEF and Washington University in St Louis to identify methodologies for costing gender-based violence in emergencies. During her time in graduate school, she used quantitative and qualitative research methods to study maternal and child undernutrition and developed interactive data visualization platforms & databases to promote Washington University’s scope of global health work. She has also been involved in feminist advocacy and community organizing work. Aishwarya earned an MPH in Global Health from the Brown School at Washington University in St Louis and a BS in Biology with minors in Religion and Philosophy from Wake Forest University.
